A doctoral dissertation was discussed at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, by the student Muhannad Yaseen Abdul Ghani. The dissertation, titled “Building a Biomechanical-Physical Model for the Iraqi Level According to an Olympic Target Height in High Jump” in the specialization of biomechanics \u2013 athletics. The discussion committee consisted of six members:<\/div>\n

The research aimed to develop a mechanical model for the athlete Hussein Falah to achieve a 2.25-meters high jump, a performance that could potentially win a medal at the Asian level. The research sample included Arab champions in the high jump category at the 2021 Arab Championship held in Tunisia at Rad\u00e8s Stadium.<\/div>\n
The study used a descriptive method and analysis with five cameras positioned at different angles to compare the performances of athletes Hussein Falah and Hamdi from Qatar. The research concluded that improving both physical capabilities and technique is essential for achieving higher jumps in high jump competitions. The study suggested that there are new junior and youth jumpers with promising body measurements and achievements, indicating the potential for similar studies to be conducted on them to identify areas for improvement.<\/div>\n
