A doctoral dissertation was discussed at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, by student Aghadeer Hadi Jassim, entitled “The Impact of Special Exercises According to Specific Areas on the Accuracy of Performing Some Skills and Visual Accuracy for Squash Players Aged (13-15) Years.” The dissertation, specializing in Motor Learning – Racket Games, was examined by a committee composed of:<\/p>\n

– Prof. Kholoud Layth Abdulkareem (Chair)
\n– Prof. Mazin Hadi Kzar (Member)
\n– Asst. Prof. Luay Hasan Shukur (Member)
\n– Asst. Prof. Ali Jalal Obeid (Member)
\n– Asst. Prof. Ali Abdulwahid Lazim (Member)
\n– Prof. Ali Jihad Ramadan (Member and Supervisor)<\/p>\n

The research highlights the importance of developing special exercises according to specific areas and understanding their impact on visual accuracy and certain squash skills. The problem addressed in the research is that young players face difficulties in performing skills due to the variety and complexity of the skills and reliance on traditional learning, leading to incorrect performance during play. Additionally, it was observed that young players lack knowledge of the correct location to hit the ball, resulting in random play without identifying the correct spot.<\/p>\n

The research aimed to develop an auxiliary tool to teach players some squash skills, design exercises using specific areas to improve the accuracy of performing certain squash skills, and understand the impact of these exercises on young players aged (13-15). The study sample comprised all young squash players in this age group, as no other players were available. The main experiment involved 24 educational units, with 3 units per week. The researcher developed exercises according to the specific areas for the experimental group, while the control group followed the coach’s curriculum.<\/p>\n

The researcher concluded that special exercises according to specific areas significantly impacted the harmony, cooperation, and perseverance in performing exercises. Teaching age groups, especially young players, within specific areas resulted in positive, clear, and rapid development, adding enjoyment and excitement to the training. The researcher recommended conducting similar studies on samples from other age groups, emphasizing the importance of focusing on age groups as the foundation for all achievements, designing appropriate exercises for the tool and the level of the sample members, and promoting quality education as one of the sustainable development\u00a0goals.<\/p>\n
