The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad hosted a workshop titled “Shanghai World Ranking and the Entry Mechanism for Iraqi Universities” on Thursday, November 9, 2023, in the main conference hall. The workshop was organized by the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University of Baghdad in collaboration with the Department of Quality Assurance at the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This workshop aimed to introduce the Shanghai World Ranking and explain the mechanism for Iraqi universities to improve their global rankings<\/p>\n

The lecture was presented by Mr. Omar Falah Hassan, the Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University of Baghdad. The workshop was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, the Department of Quality Assurance, as well as several representatives from Iraqi universities. Members of the ministerial committee responsible for global rankings were also in attendance<\/p>\n
