In presence of the Dean, professor Dr. Sabah Qasem, the dean\u2019s assistant for scientific affairs professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Hussein the discussion of the PhD student ( Abbass Tewfeeq Mensour ) was held on Sunday\u00a0 23\/7\/2023 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kemal Jelal Naser. The dissertation entitled \u201cthe Effect of Mental and Competitive Speed On Some Coordination Abilities, Punching Speed and Counter Attack in Young Boxers<\/strong>\u201d aimed at designing exercises and identifying their effect on developing coordination abilities, punching speed, and counter attack in young boxers. The researcher used the experimental method on (18) boxers aged 15 \u2013 16 from Al Shulaa Sport club<\/p>\n

\u00a0The data was collected and treated to conclude that mental speed have a positive effect on coordination abilities, punching speed and counter attack. Finally the researcher recommended using mental speed exercises as well as competitive speed exercises due to their great effect on coordination abilities, punching speed and counter attack in addition to the necessity of combining mental speed exercises with competitive speed exercises to develop some coordination abilities, punching speed, and counter attack<\/p>\n

The discussion panel consisted of Prof. Dr. Moayad Jasem Abbass as chairman, Prof. Dr. Sli Atshan Khelf, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Salieh Flaieh, Asst. Prof. Lesa Rustem Yaqoob, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Qusai Mohammed as members<\/p>\n
